Brochure.

The KAAF 2011 Convention was to bring together citizens and city planners and architects, students and NGOs to a common platform to discuss their visions for Vadodara city. The design brief was therefore to create a brochure, which would reflect change and history, the melding of old with new. The brochure would serve for event promotion, as an invitation to institutions and to inform potential sponsors about the scope and prestige of the Convention.

The cover illustration, meant also to be the insignia for the event was designed as a blend of two iconic landmarks of the city; the Maharaja Sayajirao University built in the 1890s and the EME Dakshinamutri Temple of the early 1980s. The span of a century depicting the journey of the city and its place in history distilled into a play of lines; blueprints were evoked on the inner cover to highlight the Conventions mission.
